The Springbank 12-year-old rum Wood cask whisky bottled in 2002 is a Highly Collectable Whisky. Distilled 1989 and bottled 2002.

Limited Edition of 5,700 bottles.

Considering this whisky has spent its life in rum hoggies it is surprisingly balanced with the rum influence being very soft and well-integrated. This is from the Campbeltown distillery, Springbank has had fantastic success from this distillery region.

Leafy, honeyed and more medicinal than usual Springbanks Whiskies, this may be the rum influence, but it clearly works very well in this one. Lots of pepper, touches of mint and some drying coastal/citrus extractive notes. Very entertaining and quite complex whisky.
