You should all be very familiar with Maker’s Mark. It’s tasty stuff. In addition to their classic expression and Maker’s 46, their small range is also home to Maker’s Mark Cask Strength – with is exactly what it sounds like. tasty Maker’s Mark, bottled at cask strength.
Nose: Robust cinnamon and mint, with waves of juicy cherry and vanilla underneath.
Palate: Toasted oak leading to a very subtle touch of smoke. Nutty caramel and chewy dates.
Finish: Lingering clove and oa heat.
Very good bourbon, notes are as listed , a charred caramel and cinnamon finish. Surprising smoothness after given the proof. Not a huge fan of regular makers but this more potent expression puts it where it was meant to be.
