Description

700ml // 48.0% ABV

Distilled on the 5th October 1982 at St Magdalene in the Lowlands, this was aged for 28 years in wine treated but number 2202, before bottling by Signatory on the 15th June 2011. A release of 351 bottles of cask strength whisky, packaged in rather handsome decanters.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Floral and fruity, with Granny smith apples, olives and hazelnut. A touch of malt, and cedar develop.

Palate: Rounded and pleasantly sweet, with tart apples, apple blossom, and sour apple sweets. What a whisky! Good malty backbone on this one as well.

Finish: Green and fresh finish, astoundingly so for a whisky of this age.
