A late-2015 release from the Jack Ryan Beggars Bush Irish Whiskey range – and this one’s a limited edition bottling, too! It’s a 15 Year Old Irish Single Malt, drawn from a bourbon cask and bottled at 57.5% ABV.
15 Year Old Irish single malt whiskey, produced for the Jack Ryan whiskey brand, which was revived in 2013 to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ryan’s Beggars Bush Pub in Dublin. The Ryan family has a history with whiskey bottling, though the distillery which they produced the whiskey in association with, closed in 1946.
Nose: Full-bodied fruit notes complimented by vanilla-rich oak.
Palate: Spicier than the nose might let on, with robust cinnamon rolling in.
Finish: Medium length. The vanilla picks up again here, sweeter than before.
We have been drinking whiskey for a good number of years. Probably one of the best Irish malt whiskies we have drunk. It has been well liked by everyone that has tried it.
