Fettercairn distillery has been in operation since 1824, making it one of Scotland’s oldest malt whisky distilleries. The Distillery is snugly tucked away at the foot of the Cairngorm mountains from which it takes spring water supplies. This area is one of Scotland’s most fertile regions, and is why Fettercairn is hidden amongst its forests and glens. These distinct characteristics combine to produce a balanced malt whisky with a fine character.
A handsome, smartly packaged Fettercairn. Fior is Gaelic for “true”, and the whisky has an astonishingly rich flavour of cocoa, espresso, spices, fruit and almond. We love it. It was released in Summer 2010 as part of the distillery’s rebranding process, which is positioning them into the premium market.
