Description
70cl // 40.0% ABV
The bottlers Gordon and MacPhail describe this Glen Grant vintage as “rich and soothing – one to savour.” It was distilled in 1961 and matured in first fill sherry casks.
The nose is rich and full and retains a excellent balance. There are notes of sherried peels and dessert wines, particularly Sauternes. There are notes of sultanas, winter spice and hints of pepper. The palate is full and rich. There is a honeyed sweetness with barley sugar and notes of marmalade and winter spice with a vinosity. The finish is long and warming with a touch spice.
