Description
A 10 Year Old single malt from the Yamazaki distillery, aged in bourbon barrels. A lovely fruity dram, quite floral.
Yamazaki 10 Year Old is a discontinued version of the world’s best single malt. The malt in this bottle was matured in bourbon barrels before being bottled at a sturdy 40% giving the whisky a lovely fruity, sweet and rich palate. Like any other Yamazaki, it tastes wonderful, plus, it’s rare!
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity and rich. Plenty of barley malt and caramel, cereal sweetness and winter spice. Vanilla cream and mixed peels with a hint of nuts.
Palate: Medium-body with notes of rich peels and winter spice, aniseed and a herbal note. A bitter oak develops.
Finish: Dry and of good length with acacia honey.
Great dram. Buy this before it runs out!
