Description
A fine, smoky blend from Duncan Taylor, first released in February 2013. It puts one in mind of barbecues, bonfires, fine cigars and other manly pursuits, as well as containing a good lick of the south coast of Islay. Suitable for smoke loving ladies as well, we’re sure.
Tasting Notes
Nose: It’s smoky alright. Plenty of peat smoke alongside thick, barbecue marinade and wood smoke, burnt sugar and more medicinal stuff. Crikey!
Palate: More peat smoke, black pepper and salted butter. Chewy.
Finish: Guess what? It’s smoky! Fading, sticky barbecue sauce, sweet peat smoke and pepper.
Overall: The HP sauce of the whisky world (with a pipe).
