70cl // 46.0% ABV
A 24 Year Old from perhaps Islay’s most legendary distillery, Port Ellen. This was distilled in Spring 1983 (just a few months before the distillery was shut down permenantly). The “final vintage” in it’s last season of distillation.
Never rush a great whisky.
Nose: Fruity Fresh vanilla , American oak wood, smoky, oily, crisp peat, Barley sugar.
Taste: Clean ashy apple cider, hot peat adds to the vitality, pepper, wonderful coal, wood, smoke, savoury note prominent.
Finish: Savoury smokiness. Long.
Great version of Port Ellen.
