Tasting Notes
Nose: Amazingly Fruity. Freshly-soaked barley with brown sugar & summer fruits. Develops damson, plum & a faint menthol hint, with some earthiness & a whiff of brine. Becomes more leafy when water is added.
Palate: Coal, barley sugar & burning wood. Creosote & treacle toffee. Then rosehip & tingling peppery spices. Liquorice & a pleasant doughiness. More assertive & savoury than the nose suggested but mellows with a few drops of water.
Finish: Lingering liquorice & hot peppery spices. A creeping growth of phenolic .intensity that slowly sets the tastebuds ablaze.
