A single highland malt distilled at one of the best and most highly regarded distilleries in the speyside region. Set on the edge of cliffs looking out on to the bass rock in the firth of forth the formidable Tantallon Castle was the strong hold of the powerful Douglas family and dates back to the 14th century.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh figs and moist barley, a hint of clove

Taste: The nose tells you what’s coming and there is no disappointment: massive malt surge, mouth-watering and refreshing.

Finish: Beautifully textured finish as the barley unites with the light oak

Comment: The sheer brilliance of this whisky is its simplicity. Limited colouring interference and a severe lack of sherry means that the barley can do as it pleases and pleases it does.
