Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. It is a family run distillery and is one of the largest on the Speyside. Glenfarclas was founded in 1836 and is still currently active with capacity to around 3.5 million litres of spirits per year. Glenfarclas produce a number of bottlings according to their distillery site including:
8-year-old, 10-year-old, 12-year-old, 15-year-old, 17-year-old, 18-year-old, 21-year-old, 25-year-old, 30-year-old, 40-year-old, 60-year-old and a 105 Cask Strength 60% ABC
The Whisky Library has a select bottle of the 25-year-old, not yet available on our website, it won gold at the 2019 International Spirits Challenge for Tasting Awards, Distillers’ Single Malts 21 years old and over and really does make a great after dinner treat.
The Tasting Awards also saw Glenfarclas 15 year old receive Gold for Single Malts between 13 and 20 year old in the Tasting Awards, whilst the Glenfarclas 40 year old Single Malt won DOUBLE GOLD for Distillers’ Sinle Malts 21 years old and over. The Glenfarclas 10 year old and 12 year old both received Silver for Single Malts 12 years old and under. Glenfarclas 17 year old received silver in Distillers’ Single Malts between 13 and 20 years old whilst the 21 year old and 30 year old also received Silver for 21 years old and over.
